New Healthy Minds session: Screen Time and Mental Health

The NHSGGC Mental Health Health Improvement Team are excited to launch the newest addition to the Healthy Minds collection:Screen Time and Mental Health. It is the latest of 19 Healthy Minds sessions looking to raise awareness of a variety of topics that impact people’s mental health and wellbeing, including online harms, body image, sleep, and more.
The new Screen Time and Mental Health session offers a basic awareness and understanding of screens, the various types of screen time, risks, and benefits. It also covers what support for those struggling with their screen use would look like. To mark the launch, a session on Screen Time and Mental Health will take place onThursday 1st February, 10:00-11:30am on Microsoft Teams. If you’d like to go to the session, please get in touch byemailing ggc.mhead@ggc.scot.nhs.uk. Numbers will be limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
All Healthy Minds sessions are free to download and can be used by anyone to raise awareness of a range of topics that impact mental health. You don’t need to be an expert or have experience in delivering training to run a session and can tweak the content to suit your needs and audiences. The session comes with a PowerPoint, facilitator’s notes, quiz, and supporting resources. You can access all modules on the team website: Healthy Minds Resource - NHSGGC. The Screen Time session is number 19 in the collection.
